I notice that I sometimes get Canadian coins as change. My question: If the federal reserve note is the current USA currency why do people use Canadian coins and does the coins have any value for trade in the USA?
I would like to know how to make money with Forex or currency trading. Does anybody have experience and willing to share a couple of tips ?
I can’t afford gold or very much silver even. And they are not putting copper and nickel in our currency. Why not just buy copper and nickel and make our own currency that actually has instrinsic value? What do you think? I think it is a great idea. +++ One more question.. Does anyone know what a real copper or real nickel would be worth today if it had the actual real metal in it still?

On 8Jun, I got a USD/MYR currency exchange rate of 3.5460 through http://www.xe.com/ict/, however when I referred to the historical data in other website such as:
http://www.fxstreet.com/forex-tools/rate-history-tools/
and other websites illustrated by graphs, neither of them showed 3.54.
So just wondering is it possible that a rate will be ignored only because it appeared shortly?
Also, if I am looking to trade with bank, which website suit me better considering the above 2 links.

With the USD sinking to new lows on a regular basis, what can we expect for the greenback? Will it continue to go on this trend or make a comeback? Also will a new president in office change things for the currency? What is likely to happen?

Please don’t say “loss of sovereignty,” as that is circular. If Canada, Mexico, and the US were to form a regional currency block, all 3 countries would necessarily be sacrificing some sovereignty; however, that does not constitute an argument against such an arrangement.

How do you purchase clothes or any items that are in a different currency? Like there is a really cute jacket that I would like to purchase but it is in Japanese Yen. How would I pay for that in US Dollars?

Ok, the idea is like ebay but a bit different.
It would be website where you can come to trade books with people from all over. See people that join would be able to get all kinds of books for relatively small amounts of money.
There would be a section in which you can trade books with the website’s company directly. The way it would work is you trade books or dollars (through paypal or something like that) for credits on the website. Once you have enough credits you can purchase the book you want.
On the otherside you could communicate directly with other members and trade directly for thier books. Just paying a small fee for the processing
By issuing my own e-currency I can make the credits to dollar ratio to benefit my business while still keeping the customer’s expenses to obtain a new book quite low.
The best part of this is the books would all be used. I was also thinking that the same idea could work for comic books too.
